For nearly 40 years, we have represented a special place for older adults and their families to feel welcome and understood; a place where “whole” health is the foundation of service and where aging is honoured.
Cancer is the number one cause of death for children from six months to young adulthood. This year alone, 160 families in Alberta, more than 1,400 families in Canada and more than 250,000 families worldwide will hear this diagnosis and be thrust into the stormy waters of childhood cancer.
We are there for every young person in Calgary and every community across Alberta, wherever they are. We are always open, providing a safe and trusted place for young people, in any moment of crisis or need.
Kids who live on the street and in shelters. Kids whose families and worlds have dissolved. Kids who live in poverty. We provide time away from worries and stress in enriching environments. One little ticket, one big lift!
We believe that no kid should be left on the sidelines and all should be given the opportunity to experience the positive benefits of organized sports. We provide support to children in order to remove financial barriers that prevent them from playing organized sport.
