Life comes with challenges. And it doesn’t matter how old you are. Or where you’re from. Or what you do. These challenges are stressful, scary and overwhelming. But there’s help. There’s support. There’s Calgary Counselling Centre.
Father and child volunteer together in the Society's demonstration and teaching garden
We are driven by the belief that gardening enhances our environment but more importantly the quality of life in our society. We have been educating, promoting, and celebrating gardening throughout the Calgary area for more than a century.
Seniors during our monthly seniors lunch
We serve as the Jewish 'living room' of the Community, while offering social, educational, recreational and cultural programming to individuals and families of all ages, stages and backgrounds.
Our vision is for Calgary to be a safe community, free of crime.
Our community-based organization is dedicated to reducing the incidence of crime and increasing community safety through preventative and restorative justice practices. A place for new beginnings, we work with individuals every day to help restore lives, prevent crime and strengthen communities...
Promoting health and independence
When life gets complicated, nutrition is often one of the first things to go. Each day we knock on more than 700 doors, delivering nutritious and affordable meals to any Calgarian in need. Our volunteers deliver more than a meal...they bring a sense of community right to our clients' doorstep.
Young girl reading at a table
We help children learn to read. It’s that simple and that important. We build community connections and involve citizens. We strengthen networks of relationships and systems. We innovate and inspire a reading revival!
