Since our organization began in 1989, RESET Society of Calgary has provided a lifeline for women wanting to exit sexual exploitation and sex-trafficking. RESET supports women aged 16+, and their children, exiting the trauma and violence of sexual exploitation and trafficking through the EXploitation Intervention and Transition (EXIT) Program. The proven, trauma-informed three phased continuum of services holistically supports Participants from exit and stabilization, to healing, capacity building and life-skills development, through to transitioning into independence and empowerment.
Women wanting to exit sexual exploitation and trafficking face significant and complex barriers such as mental health, addictions, homelessness, poverty, and lack of safety and appropriate support. RESET is the only organization in Canada that provides 24/7, intensive 1-1 case management, comprehensive, wrap-around non-time limited programming, two stages of supportive housing from point of intake, and accepts women with or without children. Offering these supports is what makes RESET a unique service provider with a proven strategy for women exiting sexual exploitation.
With your help, we can make a difference in the lives of vulnerable women in the community and their children. The support RESET receives enables the continued delivery of the EXIT Program, positively impacting the lives of the over 1000 individuals we have supported since first opening our doors, and of those who are yet to come. A Social Return on Investment (SROI) analysis for the EXIT Program in 2021-2022 indicates that for every dollar invested in the EXIT Program, approximately $8 in social and economic value is created.
