For over 110 years, Father Lacombe Care Society has existed to provide compassionate care to the elderly and those who are no longer able to care for themselves in their own home, in the Calgary area. We are very proud of the level of care we are able to provide to our 274 residents at Father Lacombe Care Centre and Providence Care Centres. Through hard work innovation, forethought and compassion, we are weathering this storm in keeping our residents safe and protected. This has resulted in increased costs for personal protective equipment, better known these days as PPE.
Now that we are opening the doors to family members again, there are increased expenses for masks, gowns, temperature gauges and additional staff hours to conduct screening. We must remain vigilant in caring for our residents, and connecting them once again to loved ones.
