Fig Tree Foundation supports Calgary-based organizations working on sustainable international development. We do this by providing grants and loans to organizations and delivering networking and capacity building programs. We also raise public awareness about international development by hosting events and sharing information.

We have provided more than $420,000 in funding over 16 years and supported projects in 14 countries. Previously funded projects include: gender equality, health, education, training, renewable energy, microfinance, reforestation, agriculture, water and sanitation, and small business development. We have established a thorough evaluation process to ensure projects we fund are sustainable, supported by the local community and will have a lasting impact.
