UAS is dedicated to engaging in emerging contemporary art. Our Untitled Contemporary Art Main Space has ongoing programmed exhibitions and we present bi-monthly exhibitions in the Untitled +15 Window at Arts Commons. Every year UAS holds fundraising events and actively seeks funding to aid UAS programming and operational activities. Each year, Untitled Art Society opens our doors to thousands of visitors per year in both the gallery, and the studio facility. UAS continues to seek new ways to support emerging art, from providing ever-increasing exhibition and public programming to the acquisition of professional quality graphics software, computer, and photo equipment.
In 2017, UAS hosted 10 exhibitions and supported the work of over 30 emerging artists through public programs and exhibitions. In 2018, UAS expanded our programming to include several projects that interface with unsuspecting publics, including a Lilac Festival Performance Booth and a two year Stampede Artist-in-Residence program which includes one research year and an intervention to be staged the following year.UAS programs two exhibitions spaces as well as off-site projects through a yearly call for submissions juried by our programming committee. We also provide 23 subsidized studio spaces, located conveniently downtown. Our studio space includes a generous common area that can be donated to spaceless organizations or individuals who require a space to meet.Financial contributions received from individuals are an important part of UAS’s income and are gratefully accepted. All donations are tax-deductible and go towards developing and supporting UAS exhibition and education programming as well as administration.
Please contact UAS if you have any questions regarding your donation or if you would like your gift to be deferred for a particular purpose or program.
UAS members are engaged in contemporary art and interested in being a part of dedicated and critical arts programming. Through volunteering and participating in our Annual General Meeting and Special General Meetings, engaged members ensure programming involves rigorous arts dialogue that reflects UAS’s mandate and considers a variety of voices and concerns.
Members can vote running candidates in as Board Members at the Annual General Meeting, and support the gallery through volunteering. This allows members of the community to directly participate in decisions around programming, events, and funding executed by the UAS staff.
