Dinner for Doors is an experiential evening that strives to elevate levels of awareness about accessibility and inspire generosity. The inaugural Dinner for Doors was held in 2014, to a sold out crowd. This event always motivates people to learn more about accessibility and becomes an eye-opening experience.
Guests at Dinner for Doors have an opportunity to experience mobility challenges or other activities to display what it is like to live with a disability. Even though these activities as a brief glimpse into what others are living with, people become advocates and supporters for a more inclusive city where everyone can belong. In past years, guests had the opportunity to navigate the room using a wheelchair, had their vision obscured by glasses, used a walker or other device. What will the activity be this year? You will have to attend to find out.
