CBC Calgary is working with East African community members on a new community-driven news project. That means the ideas come from you, and we work together to tell these stories. Check out cbc.ca/eastafrican for details and to get involved.

Join us for our kick-off community celebration on Saturday Nov. 4, 2023 at the Genesis Centre (7555 Falconridge Blvd. NE) between 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Come and celebrate — taste food and appreciate fashion from other East African countries. There will be a bouncy castle and childcare for the kids. All members of local East African communities welcome!

Meet CBC personalities and join a conversation circle to hear from others in your community. Find resources and encourage the young adults who will be working hard to share your stories with the world.
