Where homeowners who wants to help the homeless can partner with us to create affordable housing solutions right inside their own homes, hence opening up not only their physical homes offered as shelter, but essentially bringing those who don’t have stable lives into a welcoming environment right in our own very lives!  Unity Community Housing is a Christian ministry supporting tenant landlord programs along with residential construction of housing units for existing homeowners who wants to join us in modifying existing houses to accommodate the diverse housing needs across our communities, thus fighting against local homelessness.

The funds raised are used as an interest-free caveat registered upon the homeowners whereby the length of time they rent their homes to those in our community that are impoverished but can benefit the most from this “hands-up” transitional housing, towards market rentals, having the goals of transforming each renter so they too can become similarly a homeowner who “pays it forward”.  Once an existing homeowner exits, all equity is paid back to our organization which re-uses the funds for another homeowner, therefore creating a perpetual flow of charity.  Our goal is to see all members in our communities directly engaged with each other where the personal, social, financial, physical, mental, and spiritual growth of each individual flourishes. Our Christian-based values are at the heart of our affordable housing strategies and solutions.

The funds goes directly to this “charity caveat” for the modifications of a property owned by a private homeowner, who then chooses to “adopt” a vulnerable renter with us, where our program facilitates support to both rent and homeowner, so then the process is a hands-up as needed to get renters on their feet with the highly reduced housing costs, along with other support programs connecting their needs accordingly to other charities and nonprofits, and essentially transitions into a better, healthier standing.  We become like “the village to raise the child.”  Thank you for having an interest in our organization, and we look forward to hearing from you.  Non-profit # 1622269-2
