The Calgary Sledge Hockey Association (CSHA) is the only para ice hockey organization in Calgary, dedicated to making sport accessible for individuals of all ages and abilities. Many athletes with disabilities face financial, equipment, and social barriers that keep them from participating in healthy, active living. Donations help us remove these barriers by subsidizing registration fees, covering the high cost of ice time, and providing specialized sleds and gear—equipment that can cost families over $1,000 per player.
This year, our priorities include expanding our “Try It” events to introduce more newcomers to the sport, supporting over 85 registered athletes with affordable season programming, and hosting Western Canada’s largest minor sledge hockey tournament. Funding will also strengthen our junior and high-performance development camps, where athletes grow skills, confidence, and community connections.
Your donation directly creates impact by giving athletes with disabilities the opportunity to play, compete, and thrive—showing the community what they can achieve and breaking down stigma through sport.
