Before becoming a registered charity we were able to send 10 goalies to camp with all the fundraising coming from family and friends of Brendon. In 2018, we became a registered CRA charity, and decided to expand so that we could help both skaters and goalies with hockey registration, equipment, and camp. To date, we have helped 10 of Calgary’s youth to continue to play the game. From 2015 to the end of 2017, all fundraising to send the 10 goalies to camp came from Brendon’s family and friends. Since becoming a registered charity through the CRA, we have been hosting silent auctions, BBQs, Ball Hockey Tournaments, and have continues to receive donations from private citizens.
This charity is run entirely by volunteers. All funds that we raise go directly to help these kids.We can always use volunteers and a selection committee members. Where we really need the support is in donations and fundraising. As we are all volunteers who are running the charity, the only operating costs we have are ones that are in connection with the different events that we hold.
We would really like to find a permanent sponsor that we can partner with.
