Airdrie Health Foundation
We serve these populations:
- Aging Population (Seniors)
- Children and Youth
we need help with:
- Increased demand on service
- Support to vulnerable populations
The Airdrie Health Foundation is a non profit that supports our local public health care needs which include supporting the Airdrie Community Health Centre, Urgent Care, Mental Health and other high priority health care needs for Airdrie and area.
Due to Covid-19, our public health nurses are not able to complete home visits for new mothers and their new born babies. and are now being seen in clinic. The request is for funding of a new wheeled chair, specifically used for breastfeeding mothers (but can be used by other clinics as well) and a new wheeled bassinet to hold baby during visits. With the purchase of these two items, the Public Health Clinic will be able to increase postpartum and infant care in a timely manner. Currently, appointments are limited because of the lack of these resources, complex schedules are being made and examine rooms are being shuffled. With the chair and bassinet being able to be moved easily, more appointments can be made, as the equipment can move to open rooms.
