Green Economy Calgary is a new non-profit Hub that supports local businesses in transitioning to a low-carbon economy and maximizing the business benefits of shrinking their environmental footprint.
Greenhouse gas emissions are directly created by businesses through the burning of fossil fuels, such as natural gas for heating and gasoline for fleets, through the purchase of electricity, and through supply chains. Costs are increasing due to inflation, geopolitical events, and environmental regulations. Taking steps to become more sustainable can help your organization save money, reduce supply chain disruptions, stay ahead of climate policies, and attract and retain investors, customers and employees.
There is a strong business case for climate action, but knowing where to start or how to make the biggest impact can be challenging. Membership in Green Economy Calgary gives you access to a suite of services, tools, and resources that your business can use to reduce costs, make meaningful environmental progress, and reduce your carbon footprint. By joining today, you’ll be part of a national network of businesses that are leading the transition to a low-carbon economy.
