We are excited to announce big plans for our growing-season-launching event!

Think Spring! is the Society’s big event for 2022. We want to take the chill off winter, and launch the growing season with pizzazz—in February! While April is a start to the outdoor gardening season, many gardeners start seeds, corms, and cuttings in February to get a head start on our short outdoor growing season. To help and inspire gardeners at the very beginning of the growing season, we have moved our growing-season-launching two-day event to the weekend of February 5 and 6, 2022. This change also takes the pressure off our program partners who usually are starting their busiest season at the end of April.

Like Society garden show events, Think Spring! has two days of presentations to inspire growing in the Calgary area, an online marketplace, a photo contest, a raffle, prizes, and more!

We are also pleased to announce that greengate Garden Centres is the presenting sponsor for Think Spring!
