Our cause is Canada's charities and nonprofits - Through research, federal policy and advocacy, HR and fundraising resources, nonprofit accreditation and corporate community investment certification, we work with and for the social good sector, supporting its organizations and leaders who are making a difference in our communities in Canada and around the world.

We fulfill our mission by building networks and shared resources for collective progress; developing insights and mobilizing knowledge for action; and being a spotlight that illuminates what’s possible in the nonprofit sector. To realize our mission, we are committed to an ongoing process of becoming a more equity-driven, inclusive, anti-racist, transformative, and provocative player within and for the social good sector. We also hold ourselves accountable for advancing three foundational goals: (1) the sector is seen as community-driven, trusted, valued, and credible by all the employees, volunteers, donors, governments, and communities it seeks to serve; (2) the sector is resourced equitably and ambitiously, empowered to invest in talent, infrastructure, and bold solutions for the public good; and (3) the sector has future-ready leadership that reflects communities, is equipped to navigate complexity, and is prepared to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow.
