The PATHS Domestic Violence Response Program

The Domestic Violence Response Program (DVRP) is the cornerstone program of PATHS. The DVRP addresses a need within the community to provide personal protection, empowerment and safety to people living under the threat of domestic /relational violence and stalking. This is a unique initiative which allows people with limited means to access, through our program, a previously cost -prohibitive level of protection to safeguard themselves in situations of in-person or cyber harassment, violence, stalking, threats, etc. Currently there are few other affordable options to provide constant protection for people living with these types of violence other than through shelters, where only a small fraction of the the need can be met. The goal of the DVRP is to work collaboratively with other community services to provide intermediate solutions for protection at home, in the community and with technology. Clients of the DVRP are referred by other community service agencies. Our services are provided on a case-by case basis and may include:

  •  Threat assessments and various levels of protective services.
  • Technical interventions for cyber-stalking and harassment
  • Personal Safety devices
  • Recommended options to enhance security in the home.
  • Self-defense equipping and awareness specifically designed for those under threat of domestic violence and the agency staff who serve them.
