Soup Sisters: A Hug in a Bowl

The need for nourishing, dignified food has grown sharply across Canada, and families, individuals and frontline agencies are struggling to keep pace.

Every day, shelters, schools, and outreach programs tell us the same story. They want to offer wholesome meals, yet many have no food budget at all, and their kitchens are stretched far beyond capacity. At the same time, nearly 10 million Canadians, including almost 3 million children, are food insecure. This pressure is landing hardest on the people already experiencing crisis.

Soup Sisters exists to ease that burden across the network of care supporting vulnerable communities.

We are a registered charity dedicated to nourishing communities with the universal comfort food. Whether its fuelling students, giving a Hug in a Bowl to a stranger, or providing ready-to-eat soups to frontline agencies, we are working to alleviate the stress of not having enough good food.

Mission
