Our work
The effects of COVID-19 need to be viewed with an inter-sectional lens. AWSN advocates for diversity and inclusion across Alberta STEM fields by supporting over 20 grassroots voluntary organizations through direct funding, as well as advertising, volunteer recruitment and guidance. Loss of funding due to COVID-19 from from events and fundraising has left us in jeopardy of being unable to complete 2019 financials that are needed to apply for further grants to continue programming.
