Our focus is to address the gaps and barriers between knowledge and action to advance adaptation to disasters like wildfires, floods, and drought. Our initiatives bring people together and pave the way for multiple ways of knowing that foster innovative solutions and transformative change to the converging climate and biodiversity crises.

Our core operations team is small, and we're a virtual organization with a diverse network of knowledge holders and subject matter experts. This means we are nimble and  able to respond relatively quickly to the evolving climate challenges. It also means that philanthropic dollars go a long way in meeting programmatic objections - not keeping lights on.

The Resilience Institute has a strong track record of partnering with local and Indigenous communities, academia, and all levels of government to advance resilience across southern Alberta, including the Rockies.
