Our work
Valour Canada is a not-for-profit organization that educates young Canadians about our shared military heritage by developing and providing learning opportunities designed to foster a deeper understanding of who we are as individuals, citizens, and as a nation.
Valour Canada was originally incorporated under the Canadian Corporations Act on March 13th, 1987, as Calgary Military Museums Society (CMMS), a not-for profit, charitable organization. CMMS proceeded to raise the funding required to build the Museum of the Regiments (MOR). After the MOR opened in 1991, CMMS facilitated another major renovation that led to the MOR being renamed in 2006 to The Military Museums (TMM). In 2010, the Society ended its relationship with TMM and in 2012 rebranded to Valour Canada.
