Alberta Farmland Trust is a charitable organization dedicated to safeguarding Alberta’s high-quality, food-producing lands through collaborative efforts with landowners. Through the establishment of conservation easements for agriculture, we ensure the protection of these vital lands from incompatible uses such as residential or industrial development, thereby preserving the land for farming purposes.

We partner with landowners involves registering conservation easements for agriculture on their property titles. These easements serve to safeguard the land for agricultural use both presently and in the future, allowing landowners to continue their farming operations with the assurance that their farmland is protected.
