We are a grassroots arts organization seeking to expand our capacity to present live jazz by creating a safe, accessible performance, rehearsal, and recording space that can be shared with other similar arts organizations. Jazz remains a male-dominated field—women instrumentalists represent less than ten percent of the professional community—so we focus on programming and partnerships that amplify women in jazz. Affordable small venues with quality instruments and sound systems are almost non-existent in Calgary. Donations will help us create a space with a piano, drum kit, and sound system; improve accessibility; and expand our educational programs.
