Black Canadian Women in Action is currently exploring the issues, developing lasting solutions, and improving the outcomes for racialized women and reviews focusing on the historical context of racialized women’s barriers to receiving equitable services, gaining leadership roles, obtaining equal pay, advancing, etc. In addition, data collection occurred through surveys, focus groups, and interviews from the lived experiences of racialized women experiencing racism. BCW in action as a registered non for profit recognizes the power of education and as a registered non for profit consistently and seeks to bring awareness and other skills to racialized women and newcomers on systemic and societal issues that exists today. Our evidence based best practice approach allows our clients to gain an increase sense of wellbeing and empowerment. As funders invest in our mission and values BCW in action also believes in investing back in community, we do this by offering programs that are evidence based and addresses the needs that the data provides to us.
