Calgary Heritage Housing Foundation (CHHF) is dedicated to meeting the rising demand for affordable seniors housing, prolonging independence, enhancing quality of life, and growing/engaging community. We firmly believe that no senior in our society should ever experience homelessness or endure the challenges of living in inadequate conditions.

The sharp rise in housing costs and the general cost of living in recent years disproportionately affects our senior population. Affordable housing is a critical necessity for this demographic.

We are seeking seed funding in the amount of $1 Million to populate CHHF’s Calgary Affordable Seniors Housing Development Fund. This fund will help us forge ahead with development projects, preparing us to qualify for, secure and leverage government funding to its maximum potential.

Traditional government funding does not provide for tenant support or life enrichment programs in independent senior social housing complexes. CHHF aims to raise $500K to expand upon and enhance various life enrichment programs which we understand to be fundamental to the well-being and quality of life for our city’s seniors.
