Fuel for Gold
Fuel for Gold food kiosk/restaurant is located in MacEwan Hall at the University of Calgary and is available to athletes, students, Faculty, staff and the general public.
The Fuel for Gold menus are inspired by athletes and designed by a team of Canadian Sport Institute Calgary dietitians and professional chefs. Using locally sourced, wholesome ingredients, Fuel for Gold offers fresh meals made from scratch using predominantly organic ingredients.
The variety of healthy meals include lean meats, gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan menu options. Daily hot entrée specials, homemade soups, hearty sandwiches, gluten-free salads, seasonal fresh fruit and homemade baked items (biscottis, granola bars, low-fat muffins) are served daily.
All proceeds from the kiosk go directly towards supporting local athletes and coaches at the Canadian Sport Institute Calgary. Fuel for Gold is committed to providing high quality and nutritious menu items.
In an effort to support the University of Calgary’s compostable container initiative, Fuel for Gold is going green by serving dishes from the kiosk in compostable containers.
