Circle Connections for Reconciliation Society brings Indigenous and non-Indigenous people together in peace and friendship, to build relationships, learn the truth, increase awareness and work towards genuine reconciliation in our area. We come together to engage in meaningful conversations, to work together organizing events and activities as well as educational initiatives that will ensure a safe, supportive and inclusive community for everyone.

Since 2021 our organization has held signature events for National Indigenous Peoples Day (June 21) and National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (Sept 30) as well as a series of five Elder Talks. We are working on an educational initiative called “Trusting the Truth of Turtle Island” with Elder and Indigenous Educators’ input.

We are honoured to work with Elders, Knowledge Keepers and Leaders from across Treaty 7 Territory and the Métis Nation of Alberta and are incredibly grateful to the Calgary Foundation and the City of Airdrie in continuing to support our work. In order to expand what we do, we need more funds.

We are seeking funding in order to hire an Indigenous team of creative professionals and management to work on our educational initiatives as well as bring together Elders and Knowledge Keepers from across Treaty 7 Territory and the Métis Nation of Alberta to provide their feedback and guidance on our work. This will ensure the workshops will be informative, effective, culturally appropriate, engaging and will ultimately progress Truth and Reconciliation.

We are also seeking funds to expand our on-going events. Funds will be used to pay honorariums and mileage to Elders, Knowledge Keepers and Indigenous performers from across Treaty 7 Territory and the Métis Nation. It will also allow us to hire an Indigenous Event Manager on a contract/part-time basis.

Your donation will support our work in progressing Truth and Reconciliation in peace, respect and friendship. It will provide economic reconciliation and professional experience to Indigenous people in Alberta.

Please visit our website to find out more about us and review the work we have accomplished. If you have questions, do reach out. We are always happy to speak with interested donors.

Thank you for your support!!
