Drug Free Kids Canada (DFK) is a national registered charity whose mission is to reduce the prevalence of problematic substance (drug and alcohol) use by youth. 90% of people living with addiction began using in their adolescence. Our goal is that every young person in Canada will be able to live a life free of this burden.

DFK works with parents and adult allies as agents of change, to engage in meaningful, ongoing conversations with the children in their lives, to help prevent problematic substance use, and addiction before it starts.

We do this by providing families with information and resources that are inclusive, evidence-based, and stigma-free. While our reach is national, DFK works to develop meaningful collaborations nationally and regionally with subject matter experts, public health agencies, community, and school organizations to connect with families and caregivers on a grassroots level, where this work is critically needed.

Your contribution – of any size – allows us to equip more Canadian families with the tools they need to support their kids in making healthy choices .
