Edmonton Gleaners Association is more commonly known as Edmonton’s Food Bank. Our mission is “to be stewards in the collection of surplus and donated food for the effective distribution, free of charge, to people in need in our community while seeking solutions to the causes of hunger.” We envision a community where no one goes hungry. We provide food support, year round, to people in need in Edmonton: individuals and families can self direct to receive a food hamper; and agency partners like The Salvation Army, Hope Mission, Boyle Street, YESS, and over 300 other organizations including 88 schools to access food from our warehouse to help their programming.

We work on the principle of cooperation to reduce duplication of work and services. As we embark on the marathon from our recovery from COVID-19 to inflation, we are preparing for challenging times for our community that will last for an extended period of time, if not years. For more information about our work and details on our programs and how we are helping people “Beyond Food”, please visit our website: edmontonsfoodbank.com.
