Families Matter is about healthy, resilient, and thriving families.

Enhancing  our Family Development Centre is essential to Families Matter.  Meeting the growing demand for free parenting and children programming in Calgary. In 2023 we supported 2368 families which is a 70% increased from previous year. Enhancing our centre means creating a more accessible, supportive, and playful environment for families.

Our Funding Priorities for Our Family Development Centre Includes:
*Increased Accessibility
We aim to make our facilities more inclusive and accessible for all families, ensuring everyone can comfortably participate in our programs and services.
*Sensory Play Space
Adding a sensory play area to support children with diverse needs, fostering a welcoming space where all children can play and thrive. This also allows parents to engage in play and learn new tools of managing themselves that they can use to support their children.
* Updated Technologies and Modern Amenities
Upgrading our centre with new technologies and modern amenities will improve the overall experience for families.
* Expanded Facilities
Enlarging our centre to accommodate more families and a wider range of activities, facilitating greater community engagement and support.
