As a non-profit, second-hand thrift retailer, our capacity to strengthen communities revolves around the generosity of people choosing to donate to Goodwill and our ability to efficiently repurpose all donations.

Environmental Value: Over 19 million kilograms is diverted from landfills in Alberta annually through best practices in sustainability. Almost 90% of all donations received by Goodwill are purchased through our retail operations, upcycled or repurposed through training programs at Goodwill or recycled through a variety of local partnerships.

Mission Impact: Over 90% of all revenue from our retail sales goes directly back into building programs for those with disabilities or barriers to find meaningful employment. This includes (but is not limited to):

• Our Career Connections team, providing job coaching and training for those with disabilities.
• Our Beyond Jobs team, providing employment programs for women with barriers entering the workforce.
• Our Employment Inclusion Accelerator team, working with employers on best practices in creating a diverse workforce.
• Our Goodwill @ Work team, a team made up entirely of people with disabilities, working together to upcycle and create products for local businesses.
