Our rescue works within High River and Foothills County primarily, doing our best with space and resources to reach as many domestic animals in need as possible. Our dogs come from the farm/ranch community, the two reservations closest to us, transfer from other rescues, Bylaw Enforcement and RCMP as well as animals from ASPCA. We will sometimes take owner-surrenders if space allows. Our cats are strays within Town, the rural community when animals are abandoned, and working with the farm community to try to offer solutions to controlling feral populations, and sometimes transfer from other groups. Donations are used first and foremost towards the cost of veterinary care, then food and supplies to care for the approx. 150 animals we have on site at any given time. We also fundraise for our Spay It Forward Program which helps lower income families and individuals have their animals spay/neutered. We promote volunteerism in our community, and do quite a bit of work with young people and the schools in our area.

Once animals are vetted, and evaluated for temperament/needs, we work very hard to responsibly rehome to the right home for that animal and adopting family. Responsible rehoming is a crucial element of what we do daily.
