Building Citizenship – ICC community citizenship ceremonies are a celebration of Canada’s newest citizens and offer unique opportunities to reflect on what it means to be active, engaged citizens. Powered by our partners and a network of volunteers, the ICC hosts more than 60 of these events across the country every year.
Cultural Access Pass – New Canadian citizens explore, travel, and discover Canada during their first year of citizenship with the ICC’s Cultural Access Pass ©® (CAP). The only program of its kind in the world, CAP provides members with free admission to more than 1,400 of Canada’s premier cultural attractions and discounts on travel.
Ideas & Insights – Working with partners and program participants, we drive research and develop cutting edge insights on inclusion and citizenship in the 21st century.
6 Degrees – 6 Degrees challenges our unsettled age. It is about what we can do to counter rising nativism and exclusion, and how we can go about doing it. 6 Degrees is about connection, conversation, artistic representation, online engagement, and the power that comes from bringing people together. It is also about language: how better language can make for better thinking; how we can reframe issues to open hearts and change minds.Be Our Guest: Attend ICC events! You can do this by connecting with Canada’s newest citizens as an ICC roundtable host. As an active, engaged community leader, share in the conversation on what it means to be Canadian. Also, you can join us at our 6 Degrees events, hosted annually in Calgary and Toronto, with pop up events in other Canadian and international cities.
Be Our Partner: Our partners offer their welcoming public spaces and work with us to host ICC community citizenship ceremonies, including the round tables and a reception. All of our partners share our commitment to inclusion.
Be Our Volunteer: The ICC is not currently looking for volunteer committee members. You are welcome to submit an application and we will contact you when we have an opportunity available in your city.
Give to the ICC: Contribute to an organization that is both delivering practical programs and outcomes, and impacting the national and international conversation at this critical juncture. With your support, we’re poised to take our work and our thinking to a new level.
