As we begin to look to a return to sport in our community we know it will play a critical role in supporting the physical and mental well being of our kids. For KidSport families who are facing other obstacles this outlet will be even more important. We believe that demand is going to see a significant increase as more local families are out of work or have seen a decrease in income due to COVID-19 and a strained economy. We are committed to ensuring these families have access to the funds they need to get their kids back involved in sport when it is safe to do so. Sport will be key to getting kids active again, it will strengthen our community and reunite us once again.
Donations will be supporting the almost $900,000 in lost revenue we have witnessed from lost events and fundraisers. Funds will be used for sport registration fees that will be needed from economically challenged and vulnerable kids in our community as they are invested back into our minor sports economy.
