KOLS HOUSE SUPPORTIVE HOUSING SOCIETY is in the startup phase and is seeking seed funding to become operational.
Our immediate need is to cover pre-opening and readiness costs required to secure and prepare our first supportive living home. Donation dollars will be used for:
Property readiness costs (lease deposit, initial rent, safety and compliance upgrades)
Essential furnishings and setup (beds, storage, kitchen basics, safety equipment)
Administrative and technology needs (computer, secure records, internet, basic office supplies)
Professional and compliance costs (insurance, policy development, licensing preparation)
These startup costs are not covered by government or contract funding but are essential to open safely and responsibly. Seed funding will allow KOLS HOUSE to move from planning to operation and position the organization to access future operating funding.
Our funding priority for the year ahead is to open our first home and complete initial setup, creating the foundation for long-term, sustainable supportive housing in Calgary.
