Operation Eyesight is working to prevent blindness and restore sight for people around the world. We partner with local health workers, hospitals and governments to bring eye care services to remote and underserved communities, and we provide education and resources to help communities manage their own eye health. In 2022, we launched a pilot project to improve access to eye care services for medically underserved groups in Calgary and First Nations in Treaty 7. We are currently in a learning phase to understand eye health inequities experienced by Indigenous Peoples and explore what our programs could look like here. We welcome any partners in this pilot project and learning journey.
