PCSBV helps individuals along the palliative care journey from working through a life-limiting illness diagnosis, understanding palliative care and how you can still live your best life, providing end of life support and comfort and navigating loss and grief.
We want people to know they are not alone. In 2022, thanks to the generosity of our donors, we have trained and deployed 40 palliative and grief support volunteers to work with clients, a goal set for the end of 2023!
PCSBV volunteers are an incredible resource and continually in demand.
PCSBV requires funding to support and grow our volunteer program as well as our programs to support those in need. These include:
Grief & Palliative Journey Navigation – one to one and group consultations
Signature Speaker Series – Invited speakers addressing topics for those on or supporting the palliative care journey
Continuing Medical Education & Professional Development – providing knowledge, teaching tools, and strategies to medical and health care providers.
Collegial Presentations – expanding awareness of palliative and end-of-life care, along with grief support in the workplace and other group settings.
