Rowan House Society’s primary goal is to provide crisis intervention, long-term support, and preventative education to break the cycle of domestic violence and abuse in our communities while using a trauma informed approach. Rowan House Society provides various supports and services within our six core programs:

5. Court Support Program
6. Preventative Education Program

In the last fiscal year, Rowan House saw a 17% increase in calls and texts to our Support Line, a 51% increase in individuals admitted to the Emergency Shelter and a 265% increase in students who attended in school presentations over the previous year.

This means that meeting the increased demand and prevention programming are going to be more important than ever.

This work has always been made possible by the generosity of the region we serve. This year Rowan House must still raise $800,000 above our regular Government Operating Grant to be able to maintain our full continuum of care.

Your support will help ensure families have their basic needs met while in shelter; as well as provide the women, youth and community members with vital Healthy Relationship Education to continue to break the cycle of violence.

– Preventative Education programming (in-class presentations and new online learning options, education/support groups for women, and community education/awareness)

– Direct Client Costs (food, toiletries, cleaning supplies, transportation)
