The Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology is Canada’s only museum dedicated exclusively to the study of ancient life. It is a centre of excellence for palaeontology, displays one of the world’s largest collections of dinosaurs, and has become world-renowned for engaging exhibits and public education programs.

The Royal Tyrrell Museum Cooperating Society has been supporting the scientific, educational, and exhibitory needs of the Royal Tyrrell Museum since 1993. Through the management of the Museum Shop, donations, and membership sales, the Cooperating Society plays a key role in helping the Royal Tyrrell Museum achieve its mandate.

Some examples of funding opportunities involving the Cooperating Society include major renovations to the Cenozoic Gallery ($500,000), the Bronze Albertosaurus located in the Learning Lounge ($450,000), videos and touch-tables in the Foundations Gallery ($110,000), and Museum Shop renovations ($150,000). In addition, the Cooperating Society funds the annual Speaker Series, the Dr. Elizabeth (Betsy) Nicholls Postdoctoral Fellowship, and the Badlands Science Camp.

The Cooperating Society is looking for support for upcoming gallery and capital improvements.
