We are innovative in education delivery; help students develop the skills they require in our changing world; provide a community gathering spot; and engage the next generation of students with our youth programs.

SAIT prepares students for their career by offering programs through our eight schools – all focusing on a different field. The SAIT schools are: MacPhail School of Energy, Business, Construction, Health and Public Safety, Hospitality and Tourism, Information and Communications Technologies, Manufacturing and Automation, and Transportation.

Within each school, instructors bring their industry expertise to students who learn through a combination of theory and action-based learning. Our schools are also equipped with state-of-the-art labs, allowing students to get hands-on experience using real-world equipment to train for careers in their chosen field.

 Ways to Give

Every year thousands of donors, including alumni, friends, industry partners, and faculty and staff make an impact by supporting SAIT through financial contributions to our students and programs.

There are many reasons to give to SAIT — to honour your relatives, to support programs that you feel passionately about or to leave a legacy for future generations. At the heart of every donation is the desire to make a difference in students’ lives.

Note: SAIT takes its fiscal responsibilities seriously, and we are proud of our track record in managing donor funds. In SAIT’s 2017/18 fiscal year we expect to raise $11.4 million at a cost of $2.1 million. This translates into $0.18 for every dollar we raise. In 2016/17 we invested $2.2 million in fundraising activities and raised $9.8 million.

Annual Giving

Our donors step up every year to provide critical support to our students and change their lives for the better. Funds raised through SAIT’s Annual Giving program go directly to institutional priorities such as:

  • Student Awards
  • Memorial Awards
  • Student Crowdfunding
  • I.G. Lewis Student Emergency Fund
  • SAIT Opportunities Fund

As part of our Annual Giving program, students from the SAIT Student Calling Program call alumni throughout the year to hear about their experiences at SAIT, provide updates on current events and campus developments, answer questions, and raise financial support for the institute and our students.
