Surviving the pandemic – a life line to the arts.

Springboard prides ourselves in connecting dance, live performance, and communities. In the wake of COVID-19 we must pivot to digital platforms to offer innovative solutions for complex times. Funds will help us transition our live-performance programming to safe, widely-accessible digital formats. This includes financial support for our staff to reprogram on-site gatherings and presentations at the containR Art Park, and at our annual Fluid Festival. We will also offer educational outreach programming to online delivery, providing accessibility and wider community support in developing physical literacy and emotional wellbeing, featuring a series of participatory experiences based on themes relevant to and developed for youth and young adults. Springboard hopes to further develop sustainable forms of gathering, community, and live performance in this time of safe social distancing.
