Requesting $29000

charity

DOLLAR VALUE OF NEED: $29,000

We are dreaming up fun and exciting ways to offer our fiddle programming online. We have about 70 students ages 6-18 who now are required to stay at home, and we are working hard to help keep some normalcy in their lives. As a result, our hope is to maintain our teaching staff while cutting back hours on admin.

While we predominantly run an educational program, the other large aspect of our program (and a revenue generator for us) is performances in and around the Calgary community. We have had to cancel all performances for March, April and May, and chances are good we will be required to cancel performance for June and July (our busiest and highest revenue generating months of the entire year). We are anticipating a loss of approximately $26,000 in revenue from these cancellations.

In addition, we have been forced to cancel our very popular annual Barn Dance event which brought our Association $3000 in revenue.

As you can see, we are budgeting a revenue loss of about $29,000 and because we are still paying staff to teach we will be incurring expenses of our $40,000 between now and the end of June. We are doing our very best to offer continued programming while being financially accountable and conservative in our expenditures. We would be so thankful to those wishing to make donations. Thank you in advance for helping us through this very uncertain time.
