Vision Statement: Heart of the Community, Key to the World

Mission Statement: To enrich, inspire and empower the community by providing space and resources to stimulate curiosity and innovation, life-long learning, community connection and leisure pursuits in a safe, welcoming environment.

The Okotoks Public Library has been a fixture of the Okotoks community since 1977! We’ve come a long way from the tiny little room on main street, first moving to our current location in 1990 and then expanding (to almost double the size!) in 2005. We are a member of the Marigold Library System and a part of the resource sharing mechanism of TRAC which is Alberta wide. We are proud to serve the Town of Okotoks and surrounding Foothills County.

We have developed a fundraising campaign titled “Come Grow With Us”. As part of this campaign, we are asking for community members, their friends and family to consider contributing to our expansion with a donation.

Okotoks Public Library (OPL) is growing. Construction of the new Okotoks Arts and Learning Campus is on schedule and due to open in Summer 2021.

We have started our second round of fundraising with a target to raise $250,000 to supply Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment for the new library.

“Come Grow With Us” by donating to the Okotoks Public Library:

Donations of any amount are appreciated.
Donations of $20 and more receive a receipt for income tax purposes.
