UCalgary has identified urgent needs in the time of COVID-19:
1) Student Relief Funding, to provide emergency assistance for students in distress;
2) Funding for medical research related to COVID-19, including clinical trials;
3) Funding for non-medical COVID-19 initiatives, ranging from using 3D printing to create face shields, to on-line teaching and learning for students of all ages, to research on supply chain, to delivering medical supplies to remote communities via drones
