At Vecova, we believe in unlocking possibilities for everyone, regardless of ability. For over 50 years, we’ve been creating programs and services that empower individuals and foster community connections. We have made progress, but there is still work to be done – and together, there’s so much more we can do to create a more inclusive community for people with disabilities.

Disability touches all of us. It’s the one group anyone can join at any time, and it is estimated that 1 in 6 Albertans live with a disability.  As our population continues to age, we see more and more need for what we do best – provide the supports people with disabilities need, when they need them.  That’s why we’re committed to meeting the growing needs of our community with innovative programs that promote wellness, independence, and inclusion.

Today, Vecova is going through tremendous change but our focus remains the same.  We will continue to do everything we can to provide affordable housing for people with disabilities, expand mental health supports, care for our environment through bottle pick-up services and enhance our employment services to help individuals achieve meaningful work. We’re also continuing to deliver recreational and leisure activities that build confidence, friendships, and a sense of belonging.

These programs don’t just change lives—they save them. With a strong support system and a sense of community, individuals can face life’s challenges knowing they have people who believe in them and want them to succeed.
