PARKS MATTER TO CALGARIANS
Preserving and enhancing outdoor spaces is essential to the well-being of our community.
Since 1985, Parks Foundation has played a crucial role in shaping Calgary's park and community spaces. We began with a single visionary citizen who dreamed of a greener downtown, as high-rises and parking lots rapidly replaced natural spaces. Since then, through donor support, we've invested over $200 million into capital projects and supported hundreds of community-led park and recreational initiatives. Thanks to our efforts, meaningful change has emerged in communities across every quadrant of the city. Without our work, Calgary's park and community spaces would look very different.
TRANSFORMATIVE SPACES WE’VE BUILT

Every park we bring to life has been rooted in a commitment to equity and inclusion, designed to reflect the unique needs of the communities. These spaces exist because people like you care about the future of Calgary’s communities: Rotary/Mattamy Greenway, Ramsay Inclusive Playground, Quinterra Legacy Garden, Flyover Park, West Confederation Bicycle Pump Track, Brawn Family Foundation Rotary Park, Century Gardens Sport Court, Forest Lawn Park, Martin Family Pump Track & Skatepark, and the Martin Family Legacy Garden, Canada’s first dementia inclusive park.
