Our kitchen is used by many diverse groups for various target groups. We have used our cooking facilities to help the homeless, teach young people culinary skills, help the Adults with Mental Disabilities community, host children, youth, and women’s groups.
We have completed Phase 1 of our kitchen upgrade that included a new HVAC ventilation system, a new stove and a new freezer/fridge
We still need to complete some upgrades for plumbing, electricity, sinks, counters and kitchen island to become fully compliant with City of Calgary and Alberta Health standards.
Completing this project will greatly enhance our ability to create community and fellowship through our own programs and the programs of multiple ethnic, arts, and outreach focused groups who use our cooking facilities for their various events.
The monies we receive will be used to create compliant sinks, counters, plumbing and electricity upgrades to bring our outdated kitchen up to proper standards.
