Families of Alberta for Conductive Education (FACE) provides specialized supports and therapeutic guidance to children and young adults with moderate to severe neuromotor conditions such as Cerebral Palsy. Through the use of Conductive Education, FACE assists participants in achieving their goals through helping them develop skills and build strength.
Conductive Education is a holistic therapy that combines physical rehabilitation with cognitive learning, empowering participants to achieve greater independence and functional skills. Many existing programs cannot adequately meet the enhanced needs of individuals with complex neuromotor conditions. FACE’s programs, with our strong emphasis on physical therapy and individualized attention, are invaluable for maintaining and improving participants’ abilities, quality of life, and long-term well-being. By offering tailored support from preschool through adulthood, FACE ensures continuous care and development for a vulnerable population often underserved by traditional programs. FACE believes that everyone should have the chance to learn, grow, and achieve their fullest potential.

FACE’s current funding priorities are to ensure ongoing access to our programming through ensuring sufficient staffing levels, purchasing needed therapeutic equipment and continue to develop our programs to better meet the needs of our participants.

Donations make a difference in the following ways:
• $50: Sponsors one hour of 1-on-1 Conductive Education, offering participants personalized care and support.
• $100: Covers a session of music and dance. Why does it matter? Music helps participants discover new ways to complete tasks, teaching them to consciously initiate and control their movements. It also empowers participants to use their inner voice to guide their actions, fostering independence and confidence.
• $150: Helps us purchase needed equipment, like specialized chairs and equipment. This empowers our participants to develop new movement skills and achieve greater independence. Your support gives them the tools they need to grow and thrive!
• $500: Let everyone know you’re making a difference in our community! Secures a spot on our new donor wall coming this new year, showcasing your company or family’s commitment to supporting children with motor disabilities.
