The Unique Get Together Society is seeking support for Indigenous Land Based Healing Initiatives and Reconciliation Programming. The goal is to raise funds for Indigenous cultural retreats and programs in the Calgary area by hiring a Director and support staff, as well as partnering with local organizations to help facilitate this type of work. These projects are building off previous work that’s been done and proven to be successful in supporting Indigenous cultural resurgence and reconciliation.

As a result of Canada’s legacy of colonialism and genocide, it’s imperative that Indigenous peoples and communities continue to facilitate healing initiatives for self-preservation and empowerment. Donations to UGTS will be used to expand our reach by establishing an office space and developing partnerships within the Calgary area.
